iPhone Photo Printers: Portable Printers for Printing From an iPad or iPhone

LG Pocket Photo Printer

For instant prints of your iPhone pictures on the move, LG manufacture a pocket-sized mobile photo printer called the LG Pocket Photo Printer.

How it works, is that you first install the companion Pocket Photo by LG Electronics, Inc. app on your iPhone or iPad. Next, you take your photos using the Pocket Photo app or import them from your Camera Roll.

From here, you have lots of options to play with in terms of how the image or images you’ve selected will appear in the final physical photo print. For instance, similar to Instagram, you can apply one of more than a dozen different filters to your photo. You can also make adjustments to the brightness, contrast and saturation of the image, choose from a few dozen different border styles, and create collages with multiple photos on the one print.

One of the other interesting features Pocket Photo boasts, is the ability to add a QR code to the final print. Pocket Photo has settings so that you can add a website URL, personal message, your contact details (name, phone number and address) and even the location of where the photo was taken. All of this information is encoded into a QR code that will be printed onto the photo. (You can even move the position of the QR code around the image.)

So, for example, you could take a photo at a conference and print it out then and there, and give copies to other attendees. The photo could have your business contact details embedded in the QR code. Later, the recipients can scan those details directly into their phone and add them to their address book using a free QR reader app like Quick Scan – QR Code Reader by iHandy Inc..
